“If they can’t handle your fire, they don’t deserve your light.”
Describe Your Teaching Style: It’s been said that I’m the “Goldilocks” of Soulfire Collective. Not too fast; not too slow; juuussssst right. My intention is to lead a grounded, but dynamic practice, with lots of opportunities for you to do whatever the hell you want on your mat. My hope is that you leave class feeling sweaty, strong, and inspired.
What Brought You to Your Mat: After years of an on again, off again relationship that left me unable to recognize myself in the mirror, I needed something…ANYTHING to find my way back to myself. I was broken, exhausted, wondering where I went wrong. I had taken on more than a few unhealthy habits to cope with my roller coaster-like relationship. There’s no other way to put it other than I was at total rock bottom. I needed to find a space meant only for me; a creative outlet, that would give my life more meaning and purpose; I desperately needed a community, who I could trust 100%, and who would motivate me to do better, to be better. Soulfire was and still is that place for me. One Saturday Power Flow with Brooke, in the Fall of 2018, and the rest is history. Soulfire Collective has helped me heal and put most of my broken pieces back into place. I have no doubt that this space and this community has permanently altered the course of my life. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it.
Favorite Local Spots: Oh my gosh, I have SO MANY. I love to go out to eat and to grab drinks. Station on Kings, Henlopen City Oyster House, Twist, Egg, Our Harvest, Agape Creamery, Annabelle’s, Heirloom, Chesapeake & Maine, Lupo, Liquid Assets, One Coastal, Half Full, and Blue Hen are all musts.
