Describe Your Teaching Style: My teaching style is power, while incorporating poses that ground and feel good in everyone’s body. I enjoy teaching the Baptiste-inspired power flow sequence originally taught by Brooke and Kat (the sequence I first fell in love with!). I’m new to teaching but an avid practitioner at the studio for the last 2.5 years, I try to take my favorite parts from all the different SoulFire instructors’ classes to create a class that feels good no matter what pace you move at.
What Brought You to Your Mat: I found my way to my mat in the beginning of 2019 as a result of a broken heart and a lot of major life changes. I was always an athlete/someone who worked out 5 days a week, but was never able to sit with my own thoughts. After my first class with Brooke, where I was totally lost and mesmerized, I became obsessed with the challenge of yoga (at first physical, and then more mental), the culture of SoulFire, and the way the people there bring out and see the best in one another. And the rest is history.
Favorite Local Spots: The beach in Bethany, Browse-a-bout Books, Rise Up, or somewhere around Sussex County most likely with someone from the Collective.
