"discomfort is the price of admission to an extraordinary life"
Describe Your Teaching Style:Strong and soulful! We focus on building strength in transitions and moving with controlled purpose, prioritizing safety, alignment, and breath overall. Students come face to face with resistance and the transformation that's possible when you show up wholeheartedly to this practice. With music that is deep, creamy, just a little too loud at all the right moments and sequences that emphasize the connection between each pose, I aim to help students find their flow state, their safe space, and their power on and off their mats..
What Brought You to Your Mat: ~vulnerability~ alert!
To be honest, pain. Both physical and emotional. I have Ehlers Danlose Syndrome, resulting in lots of joint surgeries from a young age. Seeing doctors to stay healthy became a full-time job around 14, and chronic pain began to take over my life, which came hand in hand with an arduous mental health struggle. I had nothing but anger towards my body for all the pain it brought me and all the things it could no longer do. I spent a lot of time in my room, on a yoga mat, staring at "beachbody.
Where Can We Find You When You’re Not Teaching:I can't tell you exactly where I'll be, but I'd bet you a lot I'm barefoot, the sun is shining on my (SPF protected) skin, and Simba is by my side. (:
